Salaam Cultural Museum is a charitable non-profit organization originally formed to gather and publish information on the Middle East and North Africa and to promote understanding of the people, cultures, languages, religions, and lands of this region. Salaam Cultural Museum also collects and distributes humanitarian aid and coordinates medical missions to the region.

Medical mission trips typically last for about a week and take place in clinics, hospitals, refugee camps, make-shift clinics, and villages in northern Jordan. Volunteers include doctors, surgeons, dentists, ophthalmologists, nurses, therapists, and coordinating personnel.
